Basic Colours make Great Matches!

There are matches made in Heaven and there are matches made in Hell. This particular match that I want to talk about today was made in Heaven. It's a pairing of a black classic style shoulder handbag on a chain and a neutral pink scarf with laced decorations. Both items came as a bargain: I found the handbag in the clothing section of a big supermarket where it was on a sale and I found the scarf in a second-hand shop where it was also on a sale. The whole match costs about 4.00 euros only!

Pink and Black

The bag is what tends to be called "inspired by Chanel". This is not a fake item of the famous brand and nowhere does it wear the famous intertwined double C. The bag was manufactured by Seven Lemon. I have ordered a replacement chain (the original chain can be detached and attached easily) to enable this bag to be used as a cross-body bag as well as a shoulder bag. Unfortunately, nothing much can be said about the brand itself as the information is very difficult to find. It seems to be a China-based manufacturer (importer?) that supplies to budget retailers. That would explain the fact of this bag being sold in a supermarket.

The scarf was manufactured by Lindex and it was such a great find because I just adore Lindex fashions! Lindex currently operates 490 stores in 18 markets. I am not sure if this company is Swedish or a Swedish company owned by Finnish investors but either location makes this brand Scandinavian. This is good news as Scandinavians and us, the Baltic people, share common climate and there's much less nonsense in Lindex fashions than in other brands operating in the Baltic region. A similar scarf collection on Lindex online store (checked 2018 April-May) was priced 14.00-19.00 euros per item, so my find was definitely a bargain!

The main reason I find this match to be a success is both items being basic neutral colour that can be matched elegantly.
